About The Artist
Born in Prague, Czech Republic, I received Masters degree in Psychology from Charles University in Prague. Shortly after I moved to Seattle area in 1993, I fell in love with the process of making ceramics fascinated with the ever changing magic of throwing on the wheel and endless possibilities of the glazes. I began as a student at Kelsey Creek art school in Bellevue where I later became a studio potter. When it closed in 2002, I moved to Kirkland Arts Center, first as a student, and then in 2004 as a Resident Ceramics Artist. Since 2007 I run my own studio, Hidden Garden Pottery in Bellevue.

After years of experimenting with various techniques I have developed a unique style of low-fire functional pottery combining fine wheel-throwing with rich and delicate decorations. My work reflects great sensitivity to colors and shapes and is primarily inspired by beauty of the nature.
