About Your Teacher

A bit about me…I received my Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University in 2002. Shortly after, I married a Submariner and moved to South Carolina for a year. It was then on to Groton, Connecticut, where my husband, Aaron, and I lived for 8 wonderful years. I spent most of that time working for Pfizer, but in 2010 I went back to school for my Masters in Teaching. In 2011, my son, Gus Richard, was born. I graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2012, and we moved back to Michigan, Kalamazoo to be exact. I worked online for 3 years teaching US and World History. Last year I decided to leave the virtual world and make my way into the Brick and Mortar world. I love being face to face with my students and am excited to have you all in class.

Besides teaching I love to read, put my graphic design degree to use, garden, swim, play with my pets and decorate my house. I am a Michigander at heart, but love to travel and explore.

My son, Gus Richard, is an active 2nd grader at Winchell Elementary. He loves his pets, swimming and driving his parents nuts.

My step-son Tristan is attending Ohio State University, studying to be an engineer.

My husband, Aaron, was in the Navy for 9 years. He now travels all over South Western Michigan inspecting steam boilers for HSB Global Standards.
