Download the RollAround app from the App Store (Google Play Coming Soon!)
Open the app and tap "Sign Up"
Enter your email, create a password, and choose a username
Complete your profile by adding a profile photo (optional)
Navigating the App
Spots Map: The main screen shows skate spots in your area
Feed: View activity from the community and friends
Events: Browse upcoming skateboarding events near you
Profile: Manage your account, friends list, and favourite spots
Discovering Spots
View all nearby spots on the map screen
Tap "Find spots near me" to centre the map on your location
Use the search button to find spots by name, type, or location
Tap on a marker to view basic spot information
Tap on the callout window to see full spot details
Spot Details
Photos: View images of the spot
Description: Read about obstacles and features
Videos: Watch clips uploaded by the community
Location: See the exact address and location on map
Share/Favourite: Save spots to your favourites or share with friends
Adding a New Spot
Tap "Add a spot" on the map screen
Fill in spot details (name, type, description)
Select the location on the map or search for an address
Upload photos of the spot
Tap "Add Spot" to submit
Friend System
Add friends by tapping "Add" in the Friends section of your profile
Search for other users by username
Accept or decline friend requests in your notifications
Remove friends from your Friends list if needed
Sharing Content
Share Spots: Send spot information to friends
Upload Videos: Add clips to any spot by visiting the spot details page
Like Videos: Show appreciation for clips other users have shared
Finding Events
Browse the Events tab to see all upcoming skateboarding events
Use the calendar to view events on specific dates
Tap on an event to see full details
Adding an Event
Tap "Add Event" on the Events screen
Fill in event details (title, description, date, time)
Set the location on the map
Upload an event image
Tap "Add Event" to submit
Q: I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
A: Please contact support. User password resetting will be available in the next update.
Q: How do I change my username?
A: Currently, usernames cannot be changed after account creation. We plan to add this feature in a future update.
Q: Can I use RollAround without creating an account?
A: An account is required to use RollAround's features. This helps maintain a high-quality community and prevent spam.
Q: Why can't I see any spots on the map?
A: Make sure location services are enabled for RollAround in your device settings. If you're in a new area, there may not be any spots added yet. Be the first to contribute!
Q: How do I report an inaccurate spot location?
A: Visit the spot details page, scroll to the bottom, and tap "Report spot" to notify our team.
Q: Can I edit a spot I've added?
A: Currently, only our moderators can edit spot information after it's been published. Contact support if you need to make significant changes.
Q: What types of spots can I add to the map?
A: You can add street spots, skateparks, DIY spots, or transition spots. Please only add legitimate skateable locations.
Q: What types of videos should I upload?
A: Upload videos of skateboarding at the specific spot. Videos should be no longer than 60 seconds.
Q: Why was my video not approved?
A: Videos must meet our community guidelines. We don't allow inappropriate content, non-skateboarding videos, or clips not filmed at the specific spot.
Q: Can I delete a video I've uploaded?
A: Yes, you can delete your own videos by visiting the spot, finding your video, and using the options menu.
Q: Why can't I find a user when searching?
A: Make sure you're typing the exact username.
Q: How many friends can I add?
A: There is no limit to how many friends you can have on RollAround.
Q: What happens when I share a spot with friends?
A: They'll receive a notification with details about the spot you've shared and can view its page there directly.
Q: How do I report a bug?
A: Send details about the issue to support@rollaround.com, including your device model, operating system version, and steps to reproduce the problem.
Q: Will there be a web version of RollAround?
A: Currently, RollAround is only available as a mobile app, but we're exploring web functionality for future updates.
Q: The app is crashing. What should I do?
A: Try these steps:

Q: How is my location data used?
A: Location data is only used to show you nearby spots and events. We do not track your location when the app is closed.
Q: Can I make my profile private?
A: Currently, all profiles are visible to registered users. We're working on enhanced privacy controls for future updates.
