The aim of ROLKNEEMATICS is to develop a turnkey robotic solution for generating data and the learning phase of a device for measuring, in real-time, three-dimensional kinematics of a prosthetic knee. The device takes the form of a wearable knee brace developed by partner BoneTag. This knee brace can be worn by any patient implanted with a complete or partial knee prosthesis, or with metal parts (e.g., pins, screws, etc.) following knee repair surgery. The knee brace can be used outside the hospital environment, and the data transmitted (via the Internet or a secure line) to attending physicians for prevention and post-operative diagnosis.
ROLKNEEMATICS project was selected on 10/11/24 for the implementation of Phase 1 as part of the 2023 “Robotics Transfer Challenge” Call for Projects launched by the ANR.
