infer — Privacy Policy

infer was formerly known as RoleRadar. The app, its developer, and its data practices are unchanged — only the name has changed.

What infer Does

infer analyses job adverts and your CV to tell you what a role actually involves, flag likely "ghost jobs", and give you an Apply / Maybe / Skip verdict, along with interview preparation, recruiter-perspective insights, and cover-letter drafting.

What Data We Collect

Your CV: When you upload a CV (PDF or text), it is stored locally on your device so you don't need to re-upload it each time. Your CV is never stored on our servers or externally.

Job descriptions: When you paste, share, or link a job listing, the app processes the job text to analyse it. This content is processed temporarily and is not stored externally.

Analysis results: Your verdicts, profile data, and application history are stored locally on your device only.

Third-Party AI Processing

To perform its analysis, infer sends your CV content and job description text to Anthropic's Claude API for processing. This data is transmitted securely via HTTPS and is not retained by infer after the response is returned.

Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. You can review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

Purchases and Subscriptions

infer offers an optional premium subscription. Payments are processed by Google Play, and subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. When you purchase or restore a subscription, RevenueCat processes a Google-provided purchase token and anonymous identifiers in order to verify and manage your entitlement. This does not include your name, email address, or payment card details — those are handled solely by Google Play and are never seen by infer.

What We Don't Do

We do not create user accounts or require registration. We do not collect your name, email address, or personal contact information. We do not sell or share your data with any third party other than the service providers described above (Anthropic for AI processing, and Google Play and RevenueCat for purchases). We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.

Data Storage

All app content (your CV, profile, analysis history, and any generated documents) is stored locally on your device using the app's internal storage. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

Data Deletion

You can delete your stored CV at any time by tapping "Change" on the CV banner. You can delete individual analysis entries by long-pressing them in My Applications. Uninstalling the app deletes all locally stored data. To manage or cancel a subscription, use Google Play's subscription settings.

Children's Privacy

infer is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL.
