SHORT BIO
Received a Diploma in Electronic Engineering and Computers from Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal in 2000, and 2008 received an MSc degree in information technology (Face recognition on still frontal images) from the University of Extremadura, Spain.
He was awarded a Ph.D. degree in aerospace technologies - computer science, by the University of Vigo and the University of Extremadura, Spain, (Evolving a Multi-classifier System for Multi-pitch Estimation of Piano Music with Cartesian Genetic Programming). He was a researcher at the University of Extremadura in the Artificial Evolution Group from 2019 until 2021.
He is currently a researcher at the Polytechnic of Leiria in CIIC – Computer Science and Communication Research Center. In 2001 he became a lecturer for the Computer Science Department of the Polytechnic of Leiria
