Roland MC-101 Shortcuts, Tips & Tricks

What Is This Website

The Roland MC-101 is a powerful little groovebox, packed with lots of features in a very small footprint. As a result, finding some features often requires menu diving or, alternatively, knowing the right shortcuts.

However, it’s not easy to memorize all the shortcuts. That’s why I created this website with over 100 shortcuts, tips and important features of the firmware version 1.82. I hope it helps you as much as it has been helping me!

How To Use This Website

Given the portability of the MC-101, which is an invitation to create songs away from the desk, this website was especially designed for mobile devices. You can use the navigation bar on the left to find the relevant section or, alternatively, you may search the entire website by clicking the magnifier icon on the top right.

Everything between [ ] refers to a control such as buttons or knobs and all text inside “ “ refers to information displayed on the screen. A plus sign between controls means that those controls must be used simultaneously, in the specified order. A comma between controls means that those controls should be used sequentially.
