Tips & Tricks

Reverse PCM of Drum Part

[SHIFT] + [PAD] with Drum Part, rotate [VALUE] to "PAD EDIT", then "KEY OFFSET" to +24

Prevent Sample Fade in Drum Track

Go to Drum Track Pad Settings and select "SUSTAIN" under the "ENVMODE" setting. This will ensure the Sample will sound for as long as you press the [PAD].

Press [RECORD] and hold the [PAD] with the Sample for the desired duration. Alternatively, enter a Step in the first Beat of the Sequence and add Ties in the following Steps by pressing [PAD] + [EXIT]. This will make the Sample continuously play as long as there are Ties after the first Step

Add Your Own Samples to Partials

First, you need to load the Samples onto the Project. To accomplish this, create a Drum Track and load the desired Samples to each [PAD].

Then, create a separate Tone Track, go to Partial Editor and rotate [VALUE] until you reach page "03:OSC1".

Select "PCM" under "OSC TYPE" with [C1], then rotate [C2] to select "SAMP" and, lastly rotate [C4] to select the desired Sample for this Oscillator. You can do this for all 4 Oscillators, enabling you to layer your own sounds

Play Two Instruments Simultaneously in One Track

Create a Tone Track, go to Partial Editor and enable Partial 1 and Partial 2. Then, using PCM, select a bass sound for Partial 1 and piano for Partial 2.

Go to page "25:MATRIX 1" and with Partial Edit enabled to Partial 1 only, i.e. [SOUND] button lit and all others dimmed, rotate [C1] to select "KEYFOLLOW", rotate [C2] to select "LEV" and rotate [C3] to "-63".

Disable editing for Partial 1 and ensure you are only editing Partial 2 before you move forward.

With Partial 2 Edit enabled, go to page "25:MATRIX 1", rotate [C1] to select "KEYFOLLOW", rotate [C2] to select "LEV" and rotate [C3] to "+63".

To play only the bass, press [OCT-] until you reach "OCT SHIFT: -2" and then press the Pads. To play only the piano, press [OCT+] until you reach "OCT SHIFT: +1" and then press the pads
