Hi, I'm Roksanna.

Raised in South Florida, my love for animals began in the marshy “River of Grass” of the Florida Everglades. I spent my early years somewhere between wildlife and horses, fascinated by the creatures and landscapes around me. Through it all, there was one constant: I drew what I loved.

As I grew older, that curiosity expanded beyond the natural world. I developed a deep interest in sustainability, human rights, and international justice, and those passions eventually carried me far beyond Florida. My education and work have taken me from the halls of the White House with the Yale School of the Environment, to the Alley of Flags at the United Nations as a Youth Representative for International Human Rights, and, most recently, to the University of Cambridge, where I pursued an MPhil in Global Risk and Resilience. Yet wherever I went, three parts of me followed: a love for animals, an appetite for adventure, and an instinct to create.

Along the way, I realized something unexpected. The things I loved had a way of bringing people together. A fascination with a horse, a place, a cause, or a story could become a point of connection between people who might otherwise have very little in common. Passion, when shared freely, can be wonderfully contagious.

And so I've returned to something remarkably simple: making art because I love making art. I want this work to be accessible. I want to meet people, hear the stories behind the animals and places they love, and turn those stories into something tangible, something that can be remembered long after a particular moment has passed.
