Welcome to FacePaws ("the App"), developed and maintained by ROI X5 Productions ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your personal privacy.
This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles your information, including camera and facial tracking data, analytics, advertising, and local data storage.
By downloading, installing, or using FacePaws, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
FacePaws features interactive gameplay and pet reactions powered by facial expression and head movement detection (e.g., smiles, winks, mouth opening, head tilting).
How it works: The App uses your device’s front-facing camera in conjunction with Google ML Kit Face Detection to recognize facial landmarks solely in transient device memory (RAM) while the game/camera feature is actively in use.
No Storage: We do not capture, record, store, or archive photos, videos, biometric facial templates, or raw image frames on your device storage or on any remote servers.
No External Transmission: Facial detection computations happen strictly on your local device. No facial data, images, or biometric identifiers are ever transmitted over the Internet to our servers or third parties.
Immediate Discard: Camera frames are analyzed in real time and immediately discarded after computing game input values (e.g., isSmiling = true).
Game Progress & Preferences: Pet levels, bond status, virtual coins, diamonds, unlocked cosmetics, room decorations, quest progress, and audio/haptic settings are stored securely on your local device using an encrypted local database (Room/SQLite).
To provide gameplay analytics, advertisements, and optional cloud services, FacePaws integrates trusted third-party SDKs provided by Google. These third-party services may collect standard technical and device information:
Google Firebase Analytics:
Purpose: To understand gameplay trends, level progression, retention, and crash frequencies to improve app stability.
Data Collected: Anonymous device identifiers, app instance IDs, device model, operating system version, session duration, and in-game event triggers (e.g., minigame completed).
Google AdMob:
Purpose: To display non-personalized or personalized banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads.
Data Collected: Advertising ID (GAID), IP address, general coarse location (country/city level), and ad interaction telemetry.
Google Gemini API / Firebase AI (Optional Cloud Features):
Purpose: To generate dynamic dialogue and conversational responses when chatting with your virtual pet.
Data Processed: User text prompts entered during in-game pet conversations. No personal identifiers or camera feeds are sent to the AI model.
FacePaws may request the following device permissions:
android.permission.CAMERA: Required solely for real-time facial gesture tracking in minigames and interactive pet reactions. You may decline or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings; the app includes an interactive Simulator/Touch mode as an alternative.
android.permission.INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required for cloud analytics, rewarded advertisements, AI dialogues, and global leaderboards.
android.permission.VIBRATE: Used for subtle haptic feedback during gameplay and button taps.
FacePaws is designed for general audiences and family-friendly entertainment.
We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personally identifiable information (PII) from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union).
Facial detection is processed entirely on-device and does not identify or retain the identity of any user, child, or adult.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information:
All external network communications (analytics, ads, and AI queries) are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS / HTTPS.
No facial or biometric data is ever stored, eliminating risks of biometric data leaks.
Depending on your geographic location, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
Access & Portability: Request details regarding any aggregated analytical data associated with your device.
Deletion: You can reset or delete all local game data at any time by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling FacePaws.
Opt-Out of Personalized Ads: You can reset or opt out of personalized advertising identifiers at any time via your Android device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Delete Advertising ID).
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable legal regulations. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
