Myself Rohitkumar Vyas, warmly welcome you to my e-portfolio. I'm a lecturer of English language and literature, a research scholar, and a former student of the Department of English, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University. As a student of arts and humanities, I strive forward to make some fruitful contributions in this field.

My mentor and teacher for life, Prof. Dr. Dilip Barad has been an endless source of inspiration for me throughout the master's. His acumen for doing every work with immense accuracy and enthusiasm has empowered me to follow the best practices in numerous fields. His teachings like "Show Must Go On" are a continuous invisible force for me to carry on with the show and to never give up.
One of my favorite excerpt from the Alvin Toffler's quote is - "Learn, Unlearn and Relearn"
Applying this quote in life is not easy, yet it's a very interesting quest that can only be possible with the temperament of questioning, by thinking critically and being skeptical.
My early years of childhood and given environment set me up to read several genres like theology, Sanskrit scriptures, folk and regional literature, stories in Hindi, English, and Gujarati, and non-fiction like philosophy, psychology, and sociology. With my sharp listening habit, I've learned many of the best tactics for articulation and speech in three languages. By reading and listening, I keep on improving my thinking and writing as well.
Along with my studies, I also like to make how-to videos on YouTube. As knowledge should float on the web all around the world, I make a small contribution to the thought. I like to read paintings. I'm also interested in sports and like playing Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Chess and Billiards. I also know some basics of swimming and intend to learn more advanced strokes. In the future, I'm planning to learn at least one string instrument to explore the horizons of music. I often go for long drives for travel.
In order to keep my focus intact, I meditate and do Yoga. It keeps me well in shape and flexible by nature. If Bruce Lee has said "Be water my friend!", then Yoga and meditation must be mentally strong yet flexible and lucid like water to the sociocultural, personal, and interpersonal exchange.

Digital platforms keep us connected to the world. This would never have been possible without the Internet. We all are in the age where a human being can carry multiple identities living a single life. The facility to create profiles on various platforms gives freedom to an individual to be present in the digital world. In the Department of English, at MK Bhavnagar University this practice is followed by every student. At the end of their masters, students have their own YouTube channels; where all the academic presentations are uploaded, Blogs where they upload their written assignments and 'thinking activities', SlideShare or Scribd where they upload presentation slides in PPT format; and of course without a doubt this particular e-portfolio which you're enjoying reading, I'm sure ...!
