Anand Osuri
Anand obtained a Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS) and Centre for Wildlife Studies in 2006, a PhD in Biology from NCBS in 2015, and completed postdoctoral assignments at NCF and Columbia University, USA, during 2016-19. His work mainly in the Western Ghats and primarily conduct research in forest ecology, with a focus on plants, plant-animal interactions, and carbon cycling. Most of his research is of an applied nature, and looks to address topics that are relevant to conservation and restoration of forests, biodiversity and ecosystem functions in the face of an expanding human footprint and a changing climate.

Jahnavi Joshi
Jahnavi is a Scientist at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad, India. She is a evolutionary ecologist and is interested in understanding the ecological, evolutionary and geo-climatic processes in shaping tropical biodiversity.

Navendu Page
Navendu is a Scientist at the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, India. He is plant ecologist interested in community ecology, biogeography, taxonomy and conservation prioritisation.

Sartaj Ghuman
Sartaj Ghuman is a trained wildlife biologist and mountaineer, a self-taught artist, and a writer. After finishing his Masters’ in Wildlife Science from the Wildlife Institute of India, he worked for a few years at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, using linguistics to understand communication in the animal world. Since then he’s worked as a field technician on a number of projects studying plants, centipedes, geckos, rodents and birds. He’s been part of field surveys, biogeography studies, socio-economic surveys, mountaineering expeditions, and scientific surveys of glaciers. He has published a number of essays and articles in leading journals and magazines, and spent time painting in various parts of India, with his paintings being used in interpretation centres and his sketches appearing in books. One of his paintings recently featured as a book cover.
