Quantum Systems Lab
Department of Physics, Government College Malappuram
The Quantum Systems Lab is a theoretical research group focused on exploring fundamental and applied aspects of quantum science. Equipped with a high-performance computing workstation, the lab performs large-scale numerical simulations of open quantum systems. Our research spans the study of quantum synchronization in both classical and quantum regimes, quantum dynamics, and nonclassical properties of light—including entanglement and quadrature squeezing. We also investigate homodyne measurements, generate optical tomograms of quantum states, and extract nonclassical features directly from these tomograms. In addition, the lab works on the numerical exploration of quantum information and communication protocols, with particular emphasis on understanding the effects of noise.
