I am a Ph.D & Design Researcher in the Department of Design at IIT Kanpur, working with Prof. J. Ramkumar at the MedTech Lab. My research interests lie in the area of Assistive Product Design and Development", with a focus on Early Mobility and Rehabilitation Devices. I completed my M.Tech and B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at IIT and WBUT with specialization in Design and Manufacturing.

 
Prior to joining  IIT Kanpur, I received my masters degrees in Department of Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati where I was worked with Dr. Balaji Subramanian on problems related to wind tunnel balance design and modeling.


I am passionate about thoughtful, technical design for innovation. As a research scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, I study Engineering Design with a concentration in Product Development. Sparked by a childhood of prototyping with cardboard, tubes, and LEGOs, I am a lifelong tinkerer and always striving to understand the inner workings of the mechanisms that surround me.


I care deeply about mechanical design and about how users interact with products/devices. I am easily excitable and adapt quickly to learn the skills for new projects or obstacles. As a student and leader, I value the people I work with and learn from. I am always learning new things each day and love to find elegant solutions to complex problems.


When I’m not studying, CADing, prototyping, or in the workshop, you can find me biking, running, discussing in the canteen with my friends, or making a playlist.
