Review the county website for any legislative actions and planning department issues that may affect our geographic area and bring the information to the next ROG meeting. Advocated with the county to draw the new district maps so communities remain intact as much as possible within the ROG area.
Review all issues listed on the Baltimore County website prior to each month's meeting for any upcoming issues, working with Peoples Counsel and inviting speakers so we are informed on the developments. After the November election this will involve working with Districts 2, 3, 4, and 5 council chairs. This committee stays informed on development, zoning changes, and land use issues that affect our area reviewing all CZMP submissions (every 4 years) in our areas of zip codes 21136, 21117 and 21071.
Research any issues from a community association, business, or individual brought to ROG's attention in our designated geographic area and open a discussion at the next ROG meeting to take a vote on assisting or testifying to support our opinion. If decisions are made to advocate or oppose an issue, prepare a Rule 8 document and name someone to testify for ROG's opinion on the matter at the hearing.
