ROCRN team reaches out and prioritizes assistance to the Rohingya orphaned children who have lost one or both parents and vulnerable families, single mothers, elderly guardians and the most at risk children those in orphan headed households and families facing extreme difficulties and poverty in the overcrowded Rohingya refugee camps.
Our Impact So Far: ROCRN distributed food, clothes and Iftar packs to dozens of orphan families in the Rohingya refugee camps. Provided free educational supports to underprivileged Rohingya children. Supported sick individuals and vulnerable family members alongside orphan care.
In these challenging times of the Rohingya refugee camps where access to formal education remains limited our programs deliver practical and community-based education. ROCRN provides,
Basic literacy and Numeracy: Foundational reading, writing, listening, speaking and basic math skills.
Life Skills and personal development: Training on educational supports, lessons on hygiene, health awareness, emotional supports and problem-solving skills.
Informal classes and Community Learning Centers: ROCRN provides in safe makeshift community home-based learning centers for teaching to the Rohingya refugee orphans children in the camps.
Teacher support and volunteer Educators: ROCRN has 30 dedicated Rohingya teachers and volunteers. They teach everyday despite limited resources; they deliver consistent support to inspire and mentor to these orphan children.
School Supplies and Learning Materials: ROCRN distribute essential school materials like notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers and basic educational tools to remove barriers to participation. We provide these materials for free to ensure that no orphan children excluded due to lack of materials.
Our Impact So Far: We offer free education despite very limited funding and support by reaching to dozens of Rohingya orphan children. These orphan children gain not just academic education but also confidence, hope and sense of normalcy amid crisis, these orphan children once had no routine now they attend regular classes.
In the Rohingya refugee camps where many families face chronic food shortages and frequent disasters like fire incidents, floods, monsoons and landslides. ROCRN provide emergency relief, centers repairing and food assistance.
Post-Disaster and Emergency Response: ROCRN try to provide quick aid after campfire incident, floods and other crises including emergency food, hygiene kits, tarps for shelters repair and other basic building supports. We mobilize volunteers to reach effected areas by partnering with local networks for efficient delivery.
ROCRN support psychosocially and mentally to protect these orphan children and feel better inside the refugee camps. We create safe spots, fund activities and caring support so that these orphan children can smile again, make friends and feel strong because every child need love, safety and a chance to heal.
Safe Places for Children: We setup calm and protected areas like in community shelters where children can come to play, rest and feel secure away from camp dangers and stress.
Games and Fun Play: ROCRN volunteer teachers do simple games, drawing, storytelling, singing and various traditional sports.
Help with Trauma and Sad Feeling: ROCRN community volunteer teachers listen to the orphan children, talk gently in one-on-one and help them deal with fear, traumas and missing family.
Teaching Everyone About Safety: ROCRN teams talk to families and with the community members about keeping children safe, spotting problem early and what to do if a child is in danger.
In the refugee camps many Rohingya women and girls especially mothers and older sisters caring for orphan children face big challenges: little education no way to earn money and not much confidence to speak up. ROCRN wants to change that, and we help these women and girls to build skills, feel safe and gain confidence. When mothers and sisters are stronger, orphan children and families feel more secure and hopeful too.
Vocational Skill Training: ROCRN provide practical classes like sewing, tailoring, handicrafts embroidery and basic home-based works. These women learn to make clothes, bags and some items they can use at home or sell if possible while helping families to extra incomes.
Leadership and Confidence Building: ROCRN team talk and activities to help women speak up make decision for their families and become responsible members of their families. We encourage mothers and sisters to lead community efforts and support each other.
ROCRN believes the best help comes from inside our own community. We train local volunteers and the responsible members of the community.
