Our Incident Management Team (IMT) operates under the standards of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) with oversight by the Rocky Mountain Area Coordinating Group. We are comprised of members from local, state, and federal agencies, most of whom reside in the Rocky Mountain states of Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, South Dakota, and Wyoming. Cumulatively, our team members have several hundred years of experience.
The Rocky Mountain Complex Incident Management Team 1 is one of 41 Complex Incident Management Teams (CIMTs) located across the geographic regions of the United States and one of three CIMTs within the Rocky Mountain Geographic Area. CIMTs will be configured to respond to large, complex fires and have the ability to expand and reduce staff in all functional areas to meet the needs of the incident.
