Leslie Hadfield is an associate professor of African history at Brigham Young University. She holds a PhD from Michigan State University, and is the author of Liberation and Development: Black Consciousness Community Programs in South Africa (East Lansing: Michigan State University Press, 2016).
Dima Hurlbut is a doctoral candidate in the African history program at Boston University, and the Graduate Research Fellow in Mormon Studies at the Tanner Humanities Center, University of Utah for the 2018-2019 academic year. His research has appeared in the International Journal of African Historical Studies and the Journal of Mormon History.
