This is on the roadmap. The gist is that the centos*release packages would need to either be updated/obsoleted or swapped with a rockylinux-release like package. Similar-ish of converting RHEL to CentOS or otherwise.

We have used CentOS on some of our splunk servers and now that it has End of Life on December 31, 2021. We are looking to rebuild the servers with a new OS. The new standard from our linux team is Rocky. Since Rocky is a relatively new distro we do not have any experience running splunk on this OS. Is there anyone out there that has that experience and can share?

I created a case with splunk, and they said as long as the kernel version in unix/linux is supported in System requirements for use of Splunk Enterprise on-premises - Splunk Documentation there should not be any problem. Rocky is supported on their side.

Hey guys I know I had a thread going yesterday but here is a new one. So yesterday I tried passbolt on docker, and bare Debian 11. In both cases I was completely unable to send SMTP. Test emails work great but as far as verifying people it is no good. Today I booted it up in rocky linux, honestly the smoothest installation yet and I am a big fan of RHEL so this was right up my alley. However I have the same damn issue with SMTP. I have gone through just about everything at this point, any basic troubleshooting has been completed. The only thing that I can imagine is that when sending via test email it is accepting your inputs and making that smtp query therefore it works flawlessly, however whenever it is saved it has got to be stored somewhere incorrectly or inaccessible. This seems to be a frequent issue amongst others as well so what gives? Any input would be greatly appreciated, could I even go as far as to disable SMTP verification? Would it be an option to be solely reliant on Pass + TOTP?

Hi, since rocky linux seems to replace centos, as centos has changed its roadmap, it will be really helpful to add rocky linux to curtin distro:stdout: start: cmd-install/stage-curthooks/builtin/cmd-curthooks: curtin command curthooks ...

For the example of the drm_open symbol, check to see if there are any packages which provide drm_open and are not already installed. For instance, on Ubuntu 14.04, the linux-image-extra package provides the DRM kernel module (which provides drm_open). This package is optional even though the kernel headers reflect the availability of DRM regardless of whether this package is installed or not. e24fc04721
