About Us

Rock Out For Good is a student run nonprofit organized to provide financial aid to families in need in our communities through live music fundraisers. Rock Out For Good was started through Danvers High School DECA and has been presented at both district and state levels. Rock Out For Good is solely funded by grants, donations, and out of the pocket of the founder. Molly Verhoosky, the founder of ROFG, believes that music brings people together and everyone deserves to have positive experiences whether they be in their home, work, school, or other aspects of their life, this led to the founding of ROFG as a way to not only bring together the community but to aid it and allow people in need to live more comfortably. The first ROFG event raised funds for Haitian refugee students at Danvers High School in order to allow them to have transportation to and from town/school event and funds for activities such as Proms and spirit weeks. Though these seem like frivolous expenses and activities, as fellow students we know how important these events are in order to feel included in your community and enjoy your school experience. The second ROFG event raised funds in order to purchase school supplies for families put under financial stress in the community, the money raised was used to purchase over $350 worth of school supplies, successfully lightening the load of many families with children in Danvers.
