Omega Basics

Omega 3 makes you strong and when you put use Omega to name your rocket, it has to surely deliver. Rocket Science Co's super-heavy-lift launch vehicle - Omega 1. Our vision with Omega was to able to allow for better space exploration with the key goal of being cost-effective and that was the only thing that our engineers kept in mind, of course while still being massive for huge satllites to be brought to space.

In Omega everything was cranked up to 11, engines, fairing, size, strap-on boosters, effiency and frankly cost (although is was still cheaper than a Space Shuttle at $1.3 Billion).

The Big History of Omega

When we were designing Alpha/Apex, our team wanted a Droo capable launch vehicle and a deep exploration launch vehicle so "Alpha Deep Space" was created.

In the end, we decided to call the first variant Apex 1 and the deep space exploration vehicle Omega 1. Our team worked unbelievably too much on these two rockets for too long to just get it ready for release in February, but of course, postponed it to April a whole two months from its projected release date. Although, we were also working on Bravo and Echo simultaneously whilst trying to develop two new different rocket programs.

The Future of Omega

The future of Omega is not interesting as we plan to keep it fairly the same throughout major block changes, to minimize team strain and load. Also, our customers wouldn't always use a super-heavy-lift launch rocket to regularly launch their satellites to LDO. So for the time being our team plans to leave Omega 1 alone, with some minor changes to improve overall performance.
