RocketPOS ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the RocketPOS mobile application (the "App") and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protected, and disclosing that information.
This App is designed for Business-to-Business (B2B) use tailored for Nail Salons and Spas.
1. Information We Collect
We collect limited information strictly to support the functionality of the Point of Sale system:
Customer Information: When you (the merchant) create a profile for your client, we may store their Name, Phone Number, and Birthday. This data is used solely for your appointment scheduling, loyalty tracking, and service history within the App.
Technician Information: We store staff names and performance data to calculate commissions and manage shifts (Check-in/Check-out).
We do NOT share this data with any third-party advertisers or data brokers. All data remains offline-first or synchronized through our secure contract-based servers for backup purposes as per our service agreement.
2. Permissions & Device Access
To provide full POS functionality, the App requires access to specific device features:
Bluetooth: Required to discover, connect, and print receipts to thermal printers and pair with barcode scanners.
Camera: Required to scan product barcodes and capture check-in/check-out photos for staff or assign profile pictures to customers.
Photo Library: Used to upload your salon's logo or select product images from your device gallery.
Location Services: Required by iOS/iPadOS solely to discover and connect to nearby Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi accessories (printers). We do not track your GPS location for any map-based or tracking purposes.
Speech Recognition: Used to support voice commands for quick product lookup (if applicable).
3. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. Access to the App is restricted to authorized personnel with valid Business Credentials provided under our service contract.
4. Children Under the Age of 13
Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
5. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
Points of sale and business requirements change, so we may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via the contact email provided in your service contract.
