Looking into the issue further, It looks like when the machine has multiple users logged in that only the first user can launch the application. Anyone launching the app after whomever launched rocketchat first is unable to use the program.

RocketChat client doesn't display window borders with titlebar and controls. Currently using fedora 38 with Wayland. However this has been an issue since v37. Rocket chat is the only client that has this issue. Window borders for RocketChat shows up under Xorg. Anyone having the same issue or know a solution?

I signed in with open.rocket.chat and compared the differences between my installation and the official site. When my browser points to open.rocket.chat site, the videochat does not work either. It does show the video window, but only displays only myself, not the remote member. Note to experiment, I signed up with 2 accounts to simulate 2 members chatting.

I have been using OpenFire since their start and even with a configuration of the system.configuration to receive messages on all the devices it doesn't do what the OP expect at all, It will send the first message to all the device clients and then no more. There is also no sync of the chat history between the device clients so that hasn't happened ever.

yesterday I moved EGroupware again to a new BOX. It is still running EGw 19.1. Rocketchat is version 3.5.2. I moved also the rocketchat mongo database via mongodump and mongorestore. Now I can access rc via https:/myserver/rocketchat without any problems, but when I try to access it from inside EGw I get step 1 of the setup wizard:
