HOW THE IDEA WAS MADE:
It all started in a car ride with my cousin. We started talking about RPG games and how ridiculous the logic of all the NPC's are. I later said "What if the enemies are just completely random people that you have to kill, they don't even attack, and when you encounter them, they just say "Hello". We thought the idea was hilarious, and I said that the game's story would be something stupid like, finding a rock for your collection, the currency would be something weird and stupid, like leaves, and every NPC is a stereotypical game character, and I decided, "why not turn this into an actual game?" And thus, the story, art, and layout of Rock Collection was born. I asked my cousin for the name of the main character, I told her I wanted it to begin with the letter "G" and I wanted it to sound weird. She eventually came up with the name: Grell, but little did I know, the name was from an anime called Black Butler (because she loves anime) and I was a little mad at first, but eventually I just decided "eh, nobody will notice." and I didn't change his name.
HOW I ALMOST LOST THE GAME:
About 4 months into the game's development, the laptop I used to make the game broke. My keyboard was a little busted and my uncle tried to fix it, but he broke it beyond repair. I got the hard drive out of my old computer and put in in my new one, and then, Rock Collection is saved. Progress has been smooth sailing ever since then, and nothing big has happened.
