The RCB is intended for musicians at the high school level or higher. While this is the suggestion, any musician is welcome if they are ready to play high school level and above music! If you'd like to join, follow the directions on our Join! page.
Yes, you will need to bring your own instrument! This includes any percussionists looking to join. Since we are in our first year, we do not have the funds to provide instruments to our musicians.
Yes, there is a registration fee. The registration fee covers purchasing music for the year and folders for our musicians. Since this is our first year, we can only estimate the fee to be around $20. This will be updated once sign ups for the first rehearsal are due, and we have a better understanding of what we will need to purchase.
The RCB hopes to play classic wind band pieces such as pieces from John Philip Sousa, David Maslanka, Gustav Holst, John Mackey, Frank Ticheli, and Eric Whitacre. They also try to play some pop culture pieces like tv show themes, movie music, and radio music. Being a community band, suggestions are always welcome from its members for repertoire they are interested in playing.

We are aiming to have at least 3 performances a year. Since we are starting in the Summer and this is our first go at running the band, we will only have 2 with our first in August.
In a full year, we plan to have a Spring concert in April, a Summer concert in August, and a Winter concert in December. We are hoping each concert will be around an hour in length.
