Rock Identifier AI Scanner (“the App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed when you use the App.
Data We Process
The App does not require account registration and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
A) Images You Scan
When you scan a rock, you may provide an image from your camera or photo library.
To generate identification results, the image is sent to our AI processing provider (OpenAI) for analysis.
We do not sell your images or use them for advertising.
B) Subscription and Purchases
The App uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, purchases, and entitlement status.
RevenueCat may process purchase-related information such as subscription status, product identifiers, and transaction events.
We do not receive or store your full payment information. Payments are handled by Apple.
How We Use Data
We use the data described above only to:
Provide rock identification results (image analysis)
Deliver Pro access and restore purchases (subscription management)
Improve reliability and prevent abuse (basic operational monitoring)
Data Sharing
We share data only with the following service providers:
OpenAI (image analysis to produce identification results)
RevenueCat (subscription and entitlement management)
We do not share your data with advertisers.
Data Retention
Scan images are processed to produce results. We do not store your scan images on our servers unless you explicitly save results inside the App.
Purchase/subscription records are retained as needed to manage access and comply with Apple/RevenueCat requirements.
Your Choices
You can stop using the App at any time.
You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.
You can request support or deletion of any app-stored history (if enabled) by contacting us.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data transmitted through the App. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
