Rochelle Gartner-Primiterra Memorial Award in

Dance Endowment

Made possible by The Gartner Family and friends, this new fund honours the memory of Miss Rochelle, one of the very first students to graduate with a dance degree from the University of Calgary in 1997. A talented performer, exceptional, dance, educator, and dedicated leader in the Calgary dance community.

This new fund honours Miss Rochelle’s memory and her legacy while keeping her lifelong love of performing and teaching dance alive.

This award will be handed out each year to a 4th year dance student starting in the inaugural year 2024.  Presented and awarded yearly, every spring at the "Dance@Night" event through the dance department at The University Theatre.

By creating this award, we hope to support students by encouraging and inspiring them to continue dance education and further develop their passion for the dance arts for generations to come.
