Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
To provide and improve our services, we collect several types of information:
When you register an account in the App, we collect the following personal identification information:
Full Name: To identify you as a teacher or administrator.
Email Address: Used as your username/login credential and for account recovery.
Phone Number: For communication and verification purposes.

Academic Department: The department you belong to (e.g., Botany, Zoology, etc.) to customize configurations and access rights.
As part of the academic portal functions, the App processes and stores:
Attendance Records: Class names, course codes, dates, and list of student roll numbers.
Question Bank Entries: Question text, exam types, classes, courses, and dates created by teachers.
Department Configuration Data: Spreadsheet IDs and script URLs related to syncing with department databases.
We access basic network status to enable syncing functionalities:

We collect information in the following ways:
Direct Input: You provide personal details (name, email, phone, password) during registration and type in attendance rolls or question details.
Offline Caching: If you record attendance or create questions while offline, the data is saved locally on your device in a secure SQLite (Room) database and uploaded when a connection is restored.
We use the collected data for the following purposes:
Account Authentication: To verify your identity and manage secure login access using Firebase Authentication.
Academic & Departmental Records: To submit student attendance and question papers directly to the appropriate department spreadsheets.
Offline Functionality: To cache data locally so you can continue working without an active internet connection.
Service Maintenance: To identify bugs, monitor network performance, and improve the reliability of the sync system.
We value your privacy and do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your data is only transmitted as follows:
Google Firebase Authentication: Your registration credentials (email and password) are securely sent to Google Firebase for account verification and access control.
Google Sheets / Google Apps Script: The attendance rolls and question bank entries you submit are sent directly to the Google Spreadsheets configured for your specific department via secure Google Apps Script web apps (https://script.google.com/).
No Other Third Parties: We do not share your personal info, attendance data, or exam questions with any third-party marketing networks or analytics platforms.
Local Storage: The App stores configuration, user profiles, and pending uploads locally on your device using Android's SQLite/Room database. This data is deleted if you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
Security Measures: We use secure network protocols (HTTPS / SSL/TLS) to encrypt all data in transit between your device, Firebase Authentication, and Google Sheets. Passwords are encrypted and managed securely via Firebase.
No Guarantee: While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
The App requests the following permissions from your device:
android.permission.INTERNET: Required to communicate with Firebase Auth, Google Apps Script, and sync your data.

You have control over your data within the App:

The App is designed for academic staff, teachers, and administrators. It does not target or knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
