This Privacy Policy describes how Daily Word , developed by Robyul Hossen , accesses, collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application.
The App is published under the package identifier com.robyul.dailyword on the Google Play Store.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any terms of this policy, please do not use the App.
We do NOT collect, request, store, or share any personally identifiable information (PII) from our users. You can use the App anonymously without registering an account, providing an email address, name, or phone number.
To provide the core features of the App (such as daily word discovery, streak tracking, word flips, and review quiz results), we store data locally on your device using:
Local SQLite Database (Room): To store the word database, synonyms, antonyms, sample sentences, and your study/review status (e.g., whether a word is flipped or marked as learned).
SharedPreferences: To save your user preferences, such as your selected daily word goal (e.g., words per day), study goals, current day number, and the source spreadsheet URL.
This data is stored exclusively on your device and is not uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party. If you uninstall the App or clear the App's storage, this data will be permanently deleted.
The App requires internet access to:
Sync and download vocabulary/word lists from a Google Sheet (such as the default spreadsheet or a public spreadsheet URL that you provide).
This connection is used solely to retrieve word CSV data. The App does NOT upload any personal data, study progress, or usage analytics back to the Google Sheet or any other external server during this sync.
The App uses the Android system's native Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine to play word pronunciation. This processing occurs entirely locally on your device and does not transmit any voice or user data.
The App does NOT integrate with any third-party SDKs, tracking libraries, analytics services (such as Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics), or advertising platforms (such as Google AdMob).
The App is not designed or intended to collect personal data from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal data, we do not knowingly solicit or collect information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take necessary actions.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
