Event Name: Robotic Racing Competition
Match Type: Time-Based and Head-to-Head Racing
Vehicle Type: Wireless-Controlled Robotic Cars
Control System: Remote via Bluetooth Controller, Smartphone, or Tablet
Objective
The Robotic Racing competition tests the players’ ability to control their robotic vehicles to complete a race course efficiently while maintaining safety, fairness, and sportsmanship.
Players navigate tracks that may include obstacles, ramps, and rough terrain.
2. VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Control System
Vehicles must be controlled via Bluetooth with an onboard receiver.
Each controller may operate only one car at a time unless otherwise authorized.
Bluetooth connection should function reliably within 30–50 meters.
2.2 Size and Power
Maximum vehicle dimensions: 20 cm Ă— 20 cm.
Must have a rechargeable battery sufficient for race duration.
Emergency stop or cut-off switch is mandatory for safety.
2.3 Safety and Durability
Vehicles must withstand rough terrain, including dirt, sand, gravel, and small obstacles.
Sharp edges, exposed wiring, or unsafe components are prohibited.
Teams must be able to quickly disable their vehicles in case of malfunction.
3. RACE COURSE SPECIFICATIONS
The track may include dirt, sand, grass, ramps, jumps, and cones.
Vehicles must remain within designated boundaries to avoid penalties.
Organizers may adjust the track or create a simplified course for specific rounds (e.g., Red Card race).
4. RACE STRUCTURE AND ELIMINATION RULES
4.1 Race Format
Multiple rounds will be held, with all players starting simultaneously.
Each round consists of 2 laps (laps may vary).
At the end of each round, the last player (by finishing position or time) is eliminated.
Special Rule: Robots that capsize, flip an opponent, or push another robot outside the track enter a “safe zone” and will not be eliminated even if in last place.(The gameplay is like a Sumo Bot but Racing )
4.2 Red Card Race
All eliminated players compete in the Red Card race to determine 6th and 7th place.
Top two finishers are awarded 6th and 7th place overall.
A simplified or shorter track may be used for the Red Card race.
4.3 Final Race
Top 7 players include the 5 survivors from elimination rounds and the 2 Red Card winners.
First to finish is the overall winner.
Remaining positions (2nd–7th) are determined by finishing order.
5. START PROCEDURE
All players start simultaneously using a countdown or official signal.
Vehicles must be lined up at the start line.
False starts may result in penalties or disqualification.
6. CRASH AND RESPAWN RULE
6.1 Crash Definition
A crash occurs when a vehicle stops, malfunctions, or loses Bluetooth connection.
6.2 Respawn Procedure
Players have 5 seconds to reset or restart their vehicle at the crash site.
Vehicles must respawn within 1 meter of the crash location.
Respawn does not grant any speed or performance advantage.
6.3 Penalties
Failure to restart within 5 seconds may result in elimination.
Emergency stop mechanisms must be functional at all times.
7. SCORING AND WINNERS
7.1 Race Points
Timed races: Fastest car wins.
Distance-based races: Furthest distance covered in set time wins.
Obstacle navigation: Points awarded for completing obstacles correctly.
Penalties: Time added for off-course driving, interference, or unsafe behavior.
7.2 Final Ranking
1st Place: Overall Winner – Trophy, Prize, Certificate
2nd Place: Trophy, Prize, Certificate
3rd Place: Trophy, Prize, Certificate
4th Place: Trophy, Certificate
5th Place: Certificate
6th & 7th Places: Red Card race finishers – Certificate
8. SAFETY AND FAIR PLAY
Participants should wear safety gear in high-speed sections.
Vehicles must pass pre-race inspections.
Unsportsmanlike conduct, intentional interference, or Bluetooth tampering results in penalties or disqualification.
Race officials maintain an emergency override system at all times.
9. POST-RACE RULES
Vehicles may undergo post-race inspection for rule compliance.
Disputes may be reviewed via race footage or logs.
10. SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
Batteries must last the full race duration.
Bluetooth devices must be compatible (e.g., version 4.0 or newer).
Environmental factors (rain, heat, wind) may affect vehicle performance; teams should plan accordingly.
11. JUDGING AND RULINGS
Judges’ decisions are final.
Any disputes or issues not explicitly covered will be resolved by the organizing committee.
12. MISCELLANEOUS
The organizing committee reserves the right to modify rules, penalize teams, or disqualify participants for violations.
Fair play, professionalism, and safety are mandatory for all participants.
