Module 2

In this module, we will connect the Arduino with bluetooth device and controlled the Arduino using a phone.

Hardware:

1. Maker UNO Bluetooth Robot Kit

2. Maker Drive

Coding and program upload:

1. Connect the USB micro B cable to laptop.

2. Make sure that the Port selection is correct, which can be confirmed under Tools tab.

3. Program the desired code or you may use the Sample code in Arduino IDE.

4. Click on the Verify button. If it pass then click on the Upload button; this process will upload the program to the Maker UNO.

5. Disconnect the USB micro B and put on AA size batteries to the robot car to ensure that the Bluetooth from the robot car is ready to be paired with your phone.

Joystick installation and operation:

1. By using your smart phone, download the Arduino BT Joystick Free.

2. After the installation is finished, open the application and click on the Connect button.

3. Make sure to switch on the Bluetooth from your phone first and choose the correct selection of the pairing device (for example, HC-05).

4. Now, you can start controlling the robot car using your phone via Bluetooth connectivity.
