Math is inextricably linked to our culture. This is both with regard to research mathematics as well as teaching. In order to build a just society (of which math is a part of) it is important to educate ourselves politically and socially, a side of education so long neglected by mathematicians. Below are some links to materials that helped me to understand the ways that practices within the mathematical community can be rebuilt to help redistribute some of the power that comes with mathematics with the goal of liberating ourselves along with those that have been so long harmed by traditional mathematical and educational structures.
