In Relic Recovery, we competed with an alliance mate against another team and their alliance to win the most points. We needed to put foam blocks into a "crypto-box" to gain points. We could also move a "relic" outside of the 12x12 playing field but were unable to do so.

We were able to qualify for state after almost winning a qualifying match. The final four teams or "final alliances" at that match were all from Widefield School District 3: Widefield High School and Discovery High School versus Janitell Junior High and Sproul Junior High. At state, we were judged and went against the best teams in the state. While we didn't win any awards, we did place 14th out of about 32 teams.
