Overall
The general concept of the game is to get through the facility, grab the crystal at the end, and return to the surface. However, with the many monsters and entities you have to face during the game, there needs to be a way to be able to handle what you're facing. For a lot of monsters, you'll be able to hide to avoid either taking damage or dying. There are spots throughout the facility that you'll be able to hide in, either in another room, just being out of the pathway and far enough away, or lockers if you're lucky to have them spawn in a nearby room. However, if you are unable to hide and unfortunately die, you get to read a document about the entity that you died too. The documents won't have all the information revealed and the more you lose to an entity, the more information on the document appears. You do also have the option to respawn if you have enough of the correct currency. That currency is different from the currency collected during the game. The game itself has two different types of currency, one that you can use in the pre-round shop, and another that you can collect during the game and use in Sebastian's shop. There are a variety of items you can collect or buy during your playthrough, whether that is different types of light sources, keycards, or health items. At the end of the game, if you win or if you die, you get the first currency which is based on various factors of your gameplay.
Lockers
Lockers are just one type of hiding place in the facility and as mentioned before, for some of the monsters, as long you you are far enough away and out of the entity's pathway, you can survive. Another way is also making sure that you are completely hidden and out of view and you can survive that way as well. Lockers are able to hide you if you are unable to get far enough away or have a place to be completely out of view. They can keep you safe from almost all entities, but there are a couple that you wouldn't be safe from. Most lockers are empty, but sometimes there can be Puddles of Void-Mass in them. If you try to hide in a locker with a Puddle in it, then it would be an instant kill if you're playing alone, but if you're playing with a friend, then your friend will be able to rescue you if there is enough time. Another threat to deal with when in a locker is if you have to deal with Pandemonium. Being in a locker with Pandemonium will trigger a mini-game that you will have to win if you want to survive.
Documents and Death
Besides at death, you are also able to find documents about other various entities. However, you are only able to read them in the lobby before you queue for a game as Sebastian takes them from you before you can open them. Besides the main monsters, there are other entities you can come across that you won't die to or some that are easter eggs. You are also able to read the documents that you got after each entity death in the same location of the ones you collected during your gameplay. Unless you have died to one multiple times, they also wont be fully unlocked and will only show you what you currently have seen. There are a couple entities that you can die to where you won't be able to see them at all and there will be dialogue telling you exactly that. When you die however, you are able to buy revives with the Roblox currency or revive tokens which you are able to get in the main lobby shop.
Shops and Items
There are a couple different shops you can encounter in the game, one being the lobby shop where you can buy revive tokens and cosmetics, the pre-round shop where you can buy different unlocked items such as light sources, batteries, medkits, and code breachers, a type of keycard, and lastly, Sebastian's shop. Sebastian's shop carries a variety of items, similar to the pre-round shop, but some will be random each time, so there is no guarantee that some items will be there in a different playthrough.Â
