My name is Robin Kaiser, I am originally from Kitzbühel in Tyrol and studied at the University of Innsbruck, where I also completed my doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Ecaterina Sava-Huss.
My main focus for research are stochastic and abelian networks, which are networks where the different nodes communicate with each other via an abelian set of instructions. The most classical example of an abelian network are abelian sandpiles, which was the topic that I studied during my PhD and which introduced me to the world of stochastic and abelian networks.
Some other examples of such networks are rotor walks, their stochastic counterpart locally Markov walks, stochastic sandpiles, and also other well-known models from probability theory fall under the umbrella of stochastic networks, such as branching processes and branching random walks.
