I love to create games.
When I was little, I spent all of my free time on building at first simple levels, but later entire scenarios and stories, in the level editor of the game Marathon Infinity. This interest is what made me apply to a high school that promised "virtual creation". There I learned to code in Flash and soon I was programming my own games. I've continued with that since then, in some form or another, and here I am 20 years later, still going strong.
I got my Master's degree in Interaction Design and Technologies at Chalmers University of Technology (following a bachelor in Software Engineering) in Göteborg, Sweden. I decided on these subjects in order to build a knowledge base sufficient enough to be able to wholeheartedly venture into the game development business. But prior to this, I actually studied movie making for two years, and I also spent a year studying script writing. So one could say that I am a jack of several trades!
My experience in the game development business is brief but lively. I've done a lot of both school and hobby projects since I was a kid, but my first job in game design was at Crackshell, as a Level Designer and Scripter, as well as Unity 3D Programmer. Later on, I got employment at Fast Travel Games as a Technical Designer and as such I've been working with Unreal Engine. A couple of years ago I moved on to be Lead Game Designer, while also becoming familiar with Angel Script on the tech side of things. And just recently, we published the game Action Hero, which is the first game I've been Lead Designer for from the start!
Except for my intense interest in games and the stories they tell, I am also a very social person. I have not had any problems with taking larger responsibilities in previous employment, such as for example being a team leader, and I really like to work with people in general. I do like it when assignments vary, but I can also have a lot of fun with a more considerable problem that takes longer to crack.
There are of course a lot more than this to talk about, and I'd be happy to elaborate anything, face to face!
