The right-brain/left-brain theory was developed in the 1960s based on the work of Nobel Prize winner, Roger W. Sperry.
Sperry's theory said that one side of a person's brain is dominant. If your thinking is more analytical and methodical, you're said to be left-brained. But if you're an artistic and creative person, you might be called right-brained. You've probably seen infographics on Pinterest or social media quizzes to help you figure out which hemisphere is your dominant one.

Many designers will show you photos of the beautiful things they've created, but they have no metrics or details to explain why they did what they did... and if it even worked!
If you ask me, "pretty for pretty's sake" is great if you want a painting to hang on your wall, but it's worthless in business.
So what happens if use BOTH
sides of your brain?
sides of your brain?
Hi, I'm robin!
I'm the creative force behind xoxo studios and a positive and visionary creative leader...
And I utilize both sides of my brain
because it makes sense for my clients.
because it makes sense for my clients.
Enacting change, encouraging customers to buy or raising the image of an organization is what's important in my work.
As a designer, I use data-driven thinking and proven methods, while still employing strong visuals to bring life to my projects so they resonate with customers, stakeholders, donors and constituents.
As a creative leader, I elevate my team by developing creative processes and standards while providing thoughtful art direction.
And as a service provider and partner, I educate my clients and colleagues to allow us to get the best results from the projects we create.
