15 random things about me:

1. I am a theater nerd. My favorite musicals are Passion, Sunday in the Park with George, and Follies. Yes, Stephen Sondheim comes up my roses.

2. I practice Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and dabble in Luta Livre and Judo.

3. Huge fan of Survivor here. Com'on, the show is all about social dynamics and interactions. The raw footage would be dream data.

4. I have a good idea who to run The Amazing Race with, and we agree on what tasks we would each do if that actually happens.

5. I wanted to study animal behavior in high school. Well, I still am - just a very specific species and a very specific type of behavior.

6. I love animals. I visit zoos as much as I can. 

7. I also visit museums as much as I can. Art museums, natural history museums, or anything more specific are fair game.

8. I played the trombone in high school. I now own a euphonium but rarely play. I miss playing music and want to take more voice lessons.

9. One thing I love to search on Youtube is lesser-known or historical musical instruments. (Acoustics baby!)

10. I am a friendly introvert.

11. I didn't know how to swim until Stanford, where I started with the "don't be afraid of water" beginner class. Thanks, Coach Nick!

12. I am an adventurous eater, except seafood, though I grew up by the ocean.

13. Invite me to a chocolate fondu and I will be your best friend.

14. None of the past few generations of my family lived in the same place -  creating a very interesting linguistic dynamics.

15. I am a city person. Some of my favorite cities I've visited/lived in: New York, Barcelona, Berlin, Chiang Mai, Hong Kong, Chicago. I long to visit Istanbul.
