Roberto Nai was born in Alessandria, where he lives.

Roberto Nai holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a second Master’s degree in Network Services.
He earned his professional engineering qualification at the Polytechnic University of Turin.

He earned a PhD in Computer Science (INF/01) from the Department of Computer Science, University of Turin.

His research focuses mainly on green public procurement, particularly on applications of Artificial Intelligence in fraud analysis and detection.
As a subtask, he focuses on:
- analysis of legal texts in administrative justice, with Natural Language Processing (NLP);
- Predictive Process Monitoring (PPM);
- Large Language Models (LLMs).
