How to reach Venice

By Plane:

By Train:

Venice’s main train station, Venezia Santa Lucia, connects the city with numerous other Italian cities. In order to find the most convenient train connections to Venice and ticket prices, please visit the Trenitalia or Italo websites. Once you arrive at the Venezia Santa Lucia station, you can easily walk to Palazzo Moro.

By Car:

The city centre of Venice is car-free; nevertheless, anybody coming to Venice by car can reach Piazzale Roma by car and leave the car there in one of the available parking garages (more information here).

How to get around Venice

On foot: The best way to move around Venice is on foot – Venice is rather small and most hotspots are within walking distance.

By waterbus (vaporetto): These are passenger boats that work like traditional buses – but on water. A one-way ticket valid for 75 minutes on the entire boat public service network of routes costs €7.50. If you plan to use the waterbus a lot, a more convenient option is to buy a 24hr or 48hr or weekly ticket based on the length of your stay (more information here).
