Artist Statement

My name is Robert Melcher, I am mainly a guitarist but I have experience with singing and a multitude of instruments. I see myself as a studio musician in the future, but for now I create my own music with my background in music theory.

Influences

As a musician, I draw influence from artists ranging from John Frusciante of the Red Hot chilli Peppers, and Nat King Cole. One of my favorite guitarists is Guthrie Govan who plays with Hans Zimmerman. The way i approach music comes from the lessons of Victor Wooten

Work experience


I have been in the guitar program for every one of my high school years. I have played with Touring Guitar but most of my experience comes from playing in Contemporary Music where I have honed most of my skills.
