FIREFIGHTER, COMMUNITY LEADER, NON PROFIT ADVISOR
Robert J. Pape Jr. is an active community leader both through volunteer efforts and his professional career.
PROFESSIONAL CAREER
Robert J. Pape Jr. has had a long and successful career in business providing innovative ideas for non profits to help them increase mission awareness and facilitate funding efforts. His most recent experience has been working with the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross Foundation as a Charitable Gift Counselor beginning in 2015. He has also spent a lot of time working with the Catholic Near East Welfare Association (CNEWA) as the Director of Major Gifts. The CNEWA is an agency of the Vatican providing pastoral and humanitarian support to the people and churches of India, Eastern Europe, Northeast Africa, and the Middle East.
Along with these efforts, Robert J. Pape Jr. has provided his expertise as an advisor and fundraiser to the following organizations:
- Interfaith Nutrition Network (INN)
- Institute of Student Achievement
- Boy Scouts of America
VOLUNTEER WORK
Beyond his professional work as a development professional for non profits, Robert J. Pape Jr. has also contributed to the betterment of his community as a firefighter with the Port Washington Fire Department. Pape has worked as a firefighter since 2000 and was one of the first responders during the 9/11 attacks. While in the city for another job, Robert J. Pape Jr. hurried to the nearest rehouse to report for duty and volunteer where he was needed during the days following. In July 2002 he was honored with a Service Ribbon for Fire Chaplains by Congressman Peter King for his acts.
Since July of 2014, Robert J. Pape Jr. has also volunteered with the March of Dimes program, a non profit aiming to provide funding for research programs to improve the health of young babies in order to prevent birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. Volunteering with March of Dimes, Robert J. Pape Jr. uses his knowledge and expertise of non profits to help increase revenue and funding for the program while also promoting and raising mission awareness.
FIRE SERVICE
Robert J. Pape Jr. has dedicated much of his time serving the community as a member of the fire service.
Throughout his life, Robert J. Pape Jr. has always been passionate about making a difference and a positive impact in the lives of others. He loves staying active in his community and giving back to the people who need it most. Along with working with a variety of non profit groups and organizations including March of Dimes, Robert J. Pape Jr. has also spent over 15 years volunteering with his local re department.
Beginning in the year 2000, Robert J. Pape Jr. has been a renowned member of the Port Washington Fire Department. He works directly with the Atlantic Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 the first established fire company in Port Washington.
Over the time of his dedicated service, Robert J. Pape Jr. has worked hard to gain as much knowledge and experience as he could. He has completed a great deal of coursework and has earned numerous certifications to expand his capabilities on the job. While Robert J. Pape Jr. has had many challenging experiences while working in the fire service, his most memorable experience was acting as a first responder during the attacks on September 11, 2001. He spent countless hours around the area of ground zero offering his service and support to those around him. This was certainly one of the most significant experiences in his career and his an experience he will always take with him on his life journey.
