Hi, I'm Rob, a devoted husband, father of four, and Marketing Director at Utah Youth Village. This organization, deeply rooted in my family history, holds a special place in my heart as my grandmother founded it.
I'm a people person at my core. I thrive on laughter and building connections with folks from all walks of life. But don't let that fool you - I'm also a doer. I've always had a drive to get things done, yet I understand the value of teamwork and collaboration.
In my role, I handle everything from creative brainstorming to crunching analytical data, both for the organization and its subsidiaries. Some might call me a "jack of all trades," and I wear that label proudly. I believe my ability to bridge the gap between analytical thinking and creative problem-solving sets me apart in the marketing world.
When you hear about non-profits, elite therapeutic boarding schools might not be the first thing that comes to mind. Yet, this is precisely where I focus my efforts, marketing a successful branch of Utah Youth Village. This unique division acts as a capital investment arm, channeling profits to support our charitable programs in foster care and in-home behavioral interventions. Think of it as a modern-day Robin Hood strategy. Instead of taking from the rich, we provide healing for their children and strengthen their marriages. It’s an incredible mission, and it’s a big part of why Utah Youth Village is the fastest-growing evidence-based charity.
I have a comprehensive understanding of Google Analytics and the expertise to create custom reports. Additionally, I am well-versed in qualitative data tools like Hotjar.
I possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of the best email marketing tactics and practices. I am skilled in email analytics and proficient in A/B testing.
My role is to win over prospective customers even before they interact with our sales team. Every word, video, and photo on this website was crafted by me.
As a professional photographer and videographer with over a decade of corporate experience, I have created all the content you see on these websites.
I have experience managing strategy and outcomes for a variety of projects, from printable materials and promotional swag to exhibit design.
I have extensive experience in managing SEO strategy, ensuring our reputation management highlights the best results while effectively pushing down negative content.
One of my proudest abilities is my knack for identifying and executing necessary tasks. I thrive on problem-solving and have a talent for learning new skills as needed, which has been invaluable in leading teams with diverse capabilities. Recognizing this strength, the organization I worked for entrusted me with fundraising capital and empowered me to build and share the proven methods of the Teaching-Family Model.
Eight years ago, my colleague and I founded the website Smarter Parenting, a subsidiary of Utah Youth Village. Our goal was to share the proven methods of the Teaching-Family Model with the world. Thanks to our success, the team quickly expanded to seven members. Building this website involved utilizing Google grants, PPC advertising, social media, web marketing, and SEO.
I spearheaded the launch of our Smarter Parenting YouTube channel, producing all the content and instructional videos myself. In the process, I mastered copywriting, instructional learning design, analytics, advertising, and the creation of immersive and captivating videos that both educate and entertain.

While my professional focus often centers around the analytical and business facets of marketing, my most shining moments have arisen from advocating for the worthy cause of Utah Youth Village and rallying influential individuals to recognize its significance.
I've been deeply involved in various aspects of marketing and advertising, including digital campaigns, spanning from small-scale initiatives to large-scale endeavors. For instance, in response to highly negative press surrounding the Residential Treatment World, I devised and executed a comprehensive plan to overhaul our public relations strategy.
I've marketed, planned, and managed various events, from large galas to intimate alumni gatherings of 400 attendees. Skillfully navigating event timelines and gathering information while moving forward is my forte. I excel at ensuring each event is meticulously planned and executed to perfection, leaving attendees with unforgettable experiences.
Cause marketing is my specialty. Over the past decade, I've been adept at crafting compelling narratives across various mediums to engage and win over influential individuals to our cause. Whether it's conveying heart-wrenching tales or navigating complex information, storytelling is where I excel.
