Originally from Chicago, I am an assistant professor of psychology at Virginia Wesleyan University. I received my Ph.D. in experimental psychology with a cognitive focus from Kent State University and postdoctoral training at Georgia Institute of Technology and Purdue University. My research program focuses on understanding and improving the metacognitive monitoring and control processes that influence self-regulated learning across the lifespan.
