A writer writes for Readers, Search engines, and the Clients
Hi!
I’m Robbie, a freelance content writer. I write to nourish my passion and, of course, for the daily bread and butter. I can’t imagine how my life would’ve been if it wasn’t for my obsession with creating content. Today, I find myself standing by those who once asked me to write for them.
Some of them were merely Hagger and a Noob at play. But now, they’ve turned into budding entrepreneurs and are well off to support themselves and their families. A priceless motivation for me!
Hence, my desire for writing has evolved ever since, and it seems ceaseless. Today I can categorically perform three types of writing;
General blurb & copy.
Creative composition.
Technical write-up. (Click to know more)
With that, I’ve been able to gain an experience of over 5 years in content creation. This half a decade of freelance business has made me specialize in areas such as;
Search Engine Optimization, SEO.
Topic market research.
Article Uniqueness.
Article Engagement Index.
The theory of Great Headline.
The famous Hook broker on the first floor (first paragraph).
Subconscious & Clear CTAs.
User Experience, UX.
Understanding consumers’ psychological prints.
Editing & Proofreading. (Click to know more)
As a sapling tot, imagining things was my favorite pastime. The habit once made me desperately note them down and invent a personal diary. And that was perhaps where I found my moxie.
During my school years, I gravitated toward interesting stories and write-ups. To name a few, here are some that mutated me into someone with the writer’s instinct.
Isaac Asimov - 'The Fun They Had'
Ray Bradbury - 'All Summer in a Day'
Charles Dickens - ‘Oliver Twist’
Ruskin Bond - ‘The Room On The Roof’
Donald Barthelme - 'The School'
Sandra Cisneros - 'Eleven'
I strongly believe that a story or an article should be able to mesmerize a reader. It should construct an imaginative world around him — as if he’s the protagonist and actually experiencing the situations in the story.
The bottom line is that an article should rhyme with the feelings and emotions of a reader; lure and immerse him. And finally, encourage him to act so that it meaningfully ends his voyage of existing curiosity and skepticism. And that's why I find writing so interesting! It pushes me further to ensure retaining a character and the element of curiosity throughout the story until it embraces a reminiscing and a worthwhile conclusion.
Apart from my rigorous schedule, I love to stay at home…Really?
Yes, that’s true.
Since I get nearly everything sitting at home, the likelihood of me going out is less. That is because I can discover the world through my rectangular piece of sophisticated info-manipulating device, the Laptop.
However, I love to visit specific places for a few particular purposes.
The 70’s Bakery — To satiate my tasting senses.
The Old Library — Some scriptures can innovate my world of perception.
The jogger’s park — To observe changes in human behavioral patterns over time.
Visit my friend’s place — Casual, personal, and professional sharing of views.
Go for a solo walkathon — To raise my adrenalin by getting caught up in the bustling city streets.
I see some people around me consciously struggling without a sigh of relief or a pint of success to gulp. Few are even nearing a decade in the role. That makes me want to ask them two questions individually.
Are you doing enough to help yourself? Or are you waiting for someone to help you? It may be your 20s, but be ready to hit the relentless 50s. “_The_time_ain’t_no_waiter_nor_pleaser_who_wait_at_the_antique_station_”
Whatever it is, the wisest thing to do is to ask someone to make it easier for you to do what you like.
It's that Simple! Don't you think...?
With Best Regards & Gratitude.
