Robb Stein is an entrepreneur who leads several companies and has been a real estate investor for more than 20 years. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he developed a strong connection to the local community. Over time, his professional work and personal values shaped a career that combines business leadership with civic involvement. His long-standing presence in Cincinnati has influenced both his business direction and his commitment to supporting local initiatives through service and philanthropy.
One of his primary business roles is serving as the principal owner of the Cincinnati Byrider location. The dealership is part of a national network that sells inspected and reconditioned vehicles. The company focuses on helping customers purchase reliable transportation while also offering in-house financing options. These financing programs are designed to help individuals establish or improve their credit by reporting payment activity to major credit bureaus. Across the country, more than one million people have chosen Byrider as their dealership, making it a widely recognized option for customers who need both vehicle access and financial rebuilding opportunities.
In addition to this role, Robert Stein serves as President of Derojo, Inc., a Cincinnati-based company that operates across several industries. The organization owns and manages auto dealerships, subprime finance companies, a real estate development group, and a reinsurance company. Its business approach often focuses on identifying opportunities within niche markets where businesses may benefit from additional capital and operational improvements. Through investment and restructuring, the company works to strengthen performance and long-term sustainability.
Another leadership responsibility includes serving as Chairman of Card Sound Reinsurance Group. The company focuses on specialized insurance exposures that may offer higher returns under favorable tax conditions. Alongside this role, he also leads a major operation within the automotive industry. Robert Stein, Cincinnati, is the President and owner of Alford Motors, Inc., recognized as the largest subprime auto dealer group. The company combines vehicle sales with financing options for customers who may not qualify for loans from traditional banks. This model provides transportation solutions while also helping individuals rebuild financial stability.
Beyond business, Robb Stein has remained deeply involved in charitable and community activities in Cincinnati. He served for nearly ten years on the Board of Directors of the StarShine Hospice program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. The program provides palliative care to children and young adults with serious medical conditions, helping families receive support and comfort during challenging circumstances.
Robb also served four years on the board of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD). Founded in 1975, the organization helps adults with developmental disabilities live independently while connecting them with work, education, and social opportunities within the community.
His community involvement also includes extensive work with the American Heart Association. Since 2001, he has supported the organization as a volunteer and helped establish the Young Professional committee. In addition, he created the Heart Ball after-party and served as its chair. These efforts contributed to fundraising initiatives and public awareness campaigns related to heart health.
Stein also played a major role in Fall Feast Cincinnati, serving as a former co-chair and member of its steering committee for more than a decade. Each Thanksgiving, the event brings together more than a thousand volunteers to provide meals, clothing, and access to medical and personal care services for thousands of individuals in need across the city.
Robb Stein earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. Outside of his professional and community responsibilities, he enjoys outdoor and athletic activities, including golf, skiing, boating, and endurance challenges. Among these accomplishments, he completed the 29029 Everesting Challenge in Jackson Hole and later summited Mount Rainier. These activities reflect his interest in physical endurance and personal growth.
