An inspiring story of transformation taking place right here in Newport, at a site formerly known as "The Road To Nowhere" in Coedkernew, from a site of significant dumping ground for fly-tipping over two decades to a site of exceptional beauty and biodiversity. 

The RTN site boasts a diverse range of habitats, including woodlands, reed beds, meadows, hedgerows, and more, with vital green corridors connecting to the wider landscape. While the future of any green space can be uncertain, our ongoing work with ecology professionals and dedicated volunteers is focused on highlighting and ensuring the long-term recognition and protection of the ecological value of The Road To Nature.
