Like any civil works, road maintenance requires careful planning, supervision and control. It may be divided in two parts such as: · Preparation of annual maintenance plan · Scheduling and annual maintenance calendar Before these planning and implementation activities commence, there is a need for a detailed survey of the road condition during which all defects and damages to the road are carefully assessed. This survey provides the basis for the planning of the consecutive maintenance works. Proper monitoring of outputs and the resources required to achieve these outputs provide the basic information needed for planning and estimating of future maintenance works.

In 2016, over 10,000 deaths were reported to be caused by bad roads. The need for pothole repair is more important than ever.

India suffers damage from potholes to their vehicle including tire punctures, bent wheels, and damaged suspensions.

Vehicular pollution because of a very high vehicle density in India becomes very difficult task to be done manually vehicle manually.

Vehicular pollution has grown at an alarming rate due to growing urbanization in India. The air pollution from vehicles in urban areas, particularly in big cities, has become a serious problem. The pollution from vehicles has begun to tell through symptoms like headache, nausea, irritation of eyes, various bronchial and visibility problems.

Faulty Street Lights

Lack of street lights is a major reason for road accidents in many roads in the corporation limit. Motorists and pedestrians face problems because of faulty or low intensity street lights.

It is clear that the traditional road maintenance procedure is time consuming process. Today road maintenance is scheduled process which is done after a fixed interval of time. The time interval may vary from few months to year. In this case if some problem is incurred in between then the people have to take initiative to contact higher authorities to get the work done which is a long process. This project aims to report the problem identified by the system to authorities concerned on regular basis without any human assistance .So maintenance can done as soon as possible.
