Statement from the General Chairs on the ICCV2021 Conference

The ICCV 2021 conference will be a virtual experience. This decision was not easily made, as we were eagerly looking forward to hosting a joyous reunion of our community. However, the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty surrounding vaccination programs around the world have made it unlikely that, by early autumn, we would be able to guarantee a safe environment for all attendees at a large in-person event. Our goal remains to provide a conference of the highest quality, and we aim to take full advantage of the virtual platform to enhance inclusivity, with an emphasis on showcasing the international scope of the computer vision research community.
