The Rattlesnake Neighborhood Association (RNA) is a not for profit neighborhood association registered as a 501c3 organization. RNA serves a neighborhood located near Grass Valley, California.
RNA's Mission
The mission of Rattlesnake Neighborhood Association is to protect and preserve the rural qualities of our neighborhood by providing a forum for information sharing and group actions which include supporting Firewise activity within our boundaries.
RNA's Purpose
Communicate information quickly and efficiently to members about neighborhood matters through sharing and outreach.
Serve as an organization through which our neighbors can meet and get to know each other in meetings and social gatherings.
Work to address issues of common concern to members, such as public safety issues, homeless encampments, parking, trails, recreation, fire hazard reduction and trash removal.
Advocate for neighborhood trails, wildlife, and other shared open space qualities for community enjoyment. This includes establishment and care of the Rattlesnake Trail in partnership with the Bear Yuba Land Trust.
Seek out and advise residents of cost savings for services such as propane, road maintenance, septic tank clean-outs, and NID service.
Facilitate a community voice in county and city planning issues affecting our neighborhood.
Support other neighborhood associations as their interests coincide with RNA.
RNA's service area
RNA's area includes all properties along Rattlesnake Road and Lower Colfax from Rattlesnake Road to Laws Ranch Cross Road including Highland Drive, Bradford Drive, Rattlesnake Ridge Drive, Brooks Road, Pine Cone Circle and any other adjacent non-through public streets or private roads off Rattlesnake Road between State Route 174 and Dog Bar Road.
